The only way YouTube can stop those apps (beside blackmailing devs with legal letters) is to shut down both their own website and their own app

IOS users should be unaffected by that as well as de-googled android users.

Unfortunately in this case google play protect scans what apps you have installed on your phone by default if you have an android phone and have logged into the play store.
IOS users should be unaffected by that as well as de-googled android users.
