what does being cis have to do with not liking that?
I think that’s more for the context of the language technically lining up with their sexuality, but it was still uncomfortable.
just that I didn’t have it as bad as others who probably had gender norms pushed on them on top of having grandmas embarrass them publically

it highlights the fact that, because it involved a cis straight context, this was all entirely acceptable to everyone around them.
if this person were trans rather than cis it wouldn’t think it’d have made a big difference considering are implied to have been a child at that point. what would be more revealing context wise would be if those around them were cishet or not, not what the commenter’s identity is
