I’m sorry if this is the wrong community to ask, I couldn’t find answers elsewhere.
When you have multiple devices registered to your NextDNS account (i.e. 1 iPhone and 1 Samsung), do all devices get 300 000 queries each or do they altogether share 300 000?
Thanks for any answers!
Joël de Bruijn ( @joeldebruijn@lemmy.ml ) 3•4 months agoAlso the reason I pay the €3 monthly fee covering 2 laptops, 3 tablets and 2 phones. Worth it imho.
It consistently drops 20 - 25% of DNS requests.
michael_palmer ( @michael_palmer@lemmy.sdf.org ) 2•4 months agoI pay 2.49$ monthly for VPS. 1 Ryzen core and 1 GB of RAM. Selfhosting wireguard and pihole there.
Joël de Bruijn ( @joeldebruijn@lemmy.ml ) 2•4 months agoI hope to get there one day (being able to DIY) but so much to learn (in the middle of getting away from MS, Google and migrating to NextCloud, Linux, Yunohost etc.)
michael_palmer ( @michael_palmer@lemmy.sdf.org ) 2•4 months agoIt’s not as complicated as it sounds. Mostly, it’s just a matter of following the instructions.
Antiochus ( @Antiochus@lemmy.one ) 1•4 months agoWhat instructions or guides do you recommend?
michael_palmer ( @michael_palmer@lemmy.sdf.org ) 1•4 months agoFirstly get access to ssh console of your server. Then use this script to install wireguard. Then use this command to install pi-hole. These scripts definitely work on Debian and Ubuntu, I haven’t tested other systems.
Onno (VK6FLAB) ( @vk6flab@lemmy.radio ) 1•4 months agoI would ask their support team that question.
essell ( @essellburns@beehaw.org ) 1•4 months agoI’m pretty sure it’s 300,000 per account shared between devices.
As the other guy said, ask their support for an authoritive answer
