Takatakatakatakatak ( @bandario@lemmy.dbzer0.com ) 7•2 years agoDude, they get a new phone every year. You need the old box to sell last year’s model on ebay.
cooopsspace ( @cooopsspace@infosec.pub ) 1•2 years agoWait, people can afford phones? Or is that just some crap that people made up about millennials.
Takatakatakatakatak ( @bandario@lemmy.dbzer0.com ) 1•2 years agoBro’s so mad he probably flips phones like pancakes.
papercut ( @papercut@lemmy.ml ) 6•2 years agoYou don’t need it, but it’s good to have if you decide to sell your phone.
My thought too, then I realized I’ve only resold one or two phones lol. Typically they break and when this isn’t the case it turned into a up phone/media player.
sdjmchattie ( @sdjmchattie@infosec.pub ) 5•2 years agoI still have the box for the phone I bought in 2018 and part exchanged years ago! One day I’ll understand why but today is not that day.
TrontheTechie ( @TrontheTechie@infosec.pub ) 1•2 years agoYou have it to sell at this point, especially if it’s an apple
krolden ( @krolden@lemmy.ml ) 5•2 years agoWhatever those boxes are good for flash drives and shit
dan ( @dan@sffa.community ) 3•2 years agoLegally phone box is the proof of buying. Court can decide you stole the phone if you don’thave the box.
TJmCAwesome ( @TJmCAwesome@feddit.nu ) 3•2 years agoIt actually has all the serial numbers and stuff you might need if you lose your phone. It’s worth keeping for sure.
Lennard ( @Lennard@lemmy.dbzer0.com ) 2•2 years agoPhone boxes are great containers for little stuff (SD Cards, USB Sticks…). They are always built way more sturdy than most other packaging products lying round your house.
