The Republicans are a mass shooter massacring children inside a school

The Democrats are the Uvalde police department

They’re just standing around holding their dicks LETTING it happen completely unopposed.

It’s more that they can’t do what’s necessary, because they can’t become a worker party. All of their base and funding comes from the bourgeoisie, they aren’t connected with the masses, and even if they tried they would risk severing their real base. The point of the meme is to point out that the Democrats can never be a worker party, so an alternative must be built, like PSL.

Assuming this is in good faith, I would say that the Republicans opposition is pretty right the last few terms. The democrats refuse to learn anything from them though. I don’t need a Democrat screaming that Trump rapes babies or whatever. But like, maybe not voting hand in hand with the Republicans would be a start. Using the debt ceiling fight to gain some ground against the rich. Being on the side of any union at all.

They could organize protests, they could help workers unionize, they could put their necks out and disrupt things, they could do anything besides stand by and say “oh no, this is so bad.” They have a gigantic megaphone and the ears of almost half the country, their power isn’t limited to the votes they have or don’t have. I want them to be making plans that are bold, plans where they feel a need to account for “how do we make sure this doesn’t turn into an outright riot though,” the things you’d do if you actually believed the rhetoric about Trump being a threat to democracy.

It goes against their interests to promote class consciousness, same applies to any electoral party (even those considering themselves on the left), not just the dems or liberal parties of Europe. Class consciousness develops outside the electoral system.

Yup, rich exist in both sides of the political spectrum. The war between the right and the left is there to distract from the more important class war.

The existence of class war is a Leftist stance, are you referring to Democrats as the “left” or Leftists as the left? I agree that political theater is a distraction, but this wording is confusing.

I am becoming a believer that it isnt weakness, its complicity. The weakness is just a good facade to hide the truth.

It also shouldnt be surprising, the government is just a capitalist mouth piece.

“Fuck you I got mine” should be printed on our money

They’re explicitly a centre-right party though. Having a two party system is jokes in this day-and-age (presumably why MAGA replaced it with your new one-party system).

I mean, politicians get paid pennies compared to CEO-s with massive risks, why would any intelligent & honest person consider being a politician. Cold fact is, being an honest politician is the worst employment opportunity ever.
