As long as I do not hear distracting noises, mine’s:
Of course, silence makes me anxious when working…

Silence? That used to happen before you used to listen to music? Or did your brain just got so used to listening to music while working?
I know music is powerful in shaping human emotions. I find it distracting however. So I try to avoid it.

I adore many kinds of music, and have fairly recently begun to appreciate silence (or maximum achievable quietness) more. I struggle to feel at ease when I’m subjected to other people’s noise pollution… especially repetitive disposable pop music, electronic game sounds, etc. Time and place for everything. Wishing you peace with your preferred sound levels :blobcatcoffee:

I don’t mind vocals in my focus music. As long as they’re not in a language I understand. I listen to a lot of Chinese opera currently, as well as assorted brands of international metal.

I often listen to Evan Carmichael’s “productive music” mixes: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCNl1nMcK1X9EHsW_b5dGzaA
The guy is pretty weird apart from that, so don’t watch his videos ;)
There’s also the app “Noice” I often use to concentrate in noisy environments without music.
