I notice myself checking it less and less due to the post sorting algorithm being infuriating. E.g. I’m sorting by “Top 6 Hours” and this post from 7 months ago is in my feed
Edit: and since I’ve now commented on this post, it’ll likely bubble into other people’s feeds and they’ll be just as confused as I was
I have it sort by New Comments, so yes, ha.
Also, I check it every five seconds. But it’s true that there’s not enough content for that to make sense. I feel restless on my phone.

I do too, ever since losing Apollo I’ve struggled to find something to fill that void. Ive tried various social media sites over the last couple of months but nothing has really stuck. Honestly not sure what to do or try at this point
Probably focused breathing and leaving our phones somewhere else for a few hours a day.
Maybe.

I think that’s the nicest way someone has ever said “touch grass” lol. I will agree though, losing access to Reddit made me realize how much mindless scrolling I would do on there. It’s difficult to see all of our comfy corners of the web crumble around us and not know what to do about it

Many times a day. It has almost completely replaced Reddit for me.
- beastman ( @beastman@midwest.social ) 6•2 years ago
Got any good community suggestions?
- Asiaticus ( @i18nde@lemmy.ml ) 4•2 years ago
Me too, several times a day. Always something interesting to find.
- art ( @arthur@lemmy.ml ) 8•2 years ago
It’s part of my daily “What’s going on in the world?” list of sites.
- MerchantsOfMisery ( @MerchantsOfMisery@lemmy.ml ) 7•2 years ago
Not often enough. I need to remind myself that reddit is a ridiculously ⬜ space that is so far from being genuinely understanding of the shit POCs deal with. I actually feel bad for not going on Lemmy as much-- I just wish the site was more popping.
You may set up a random redirect :) For example reddit.com redirects to lemmy.ml every time with probability 1/3. Or redirect with a switch. The last option is easy to set up, there are extensions for this.
- belo ( @belo@lemmy.ml ) 6•2 years ago
I try to use it more than Reddit because it makes me feel braindead
- imgprojts ( @imgprojts@lemmy.ml ) 3•2 years ago
I use it more than reddit because reddit banned me.
- Sexypink ( @Sexypink@mastodon.social ) 1•2 years ago
@imgprojts @belo shit. Lol lemmy will ban you to lol
- imgprojts ( @imgprojts@lemmy.ml ) 1•2 years ago
I can theoretically ban my self on a self hosted instance. I just have to be really annoyed with myself.
- bimbam ( @bimbam@beehaw.org ) 5•2 years ago

- peeonyou ( @peeonyou@lemmy.ml ) 2•2 years ago
i don’t go to reddit since i found lemmy… at least not to browse… for some reason it comes up in searches for things a lot these days, but most often i see reddit on here
i come to lemmy in spurts like i did with reddit… sometimes multiple times a day sometimes once every other day or so
- The Kitten Cultist ( @thekittencultist@jeremmy.ml ) 2•2 years ago
Not as much so far as I’m still trying to find communities to join but just joined a few today and got my lemmy client on my phone so should be able to use it much more
- Fizz ( @Fizz@lemmy.nz ) 2•1 year ago
Every day. I just put the lemmy app in the space of my reddit app and the transition was pretty easy.
