Invite them to do something healthy with you. They’ll be glad to spend time with you, and will be more likely to enjoy the activity and do it again.
Plus, community and real social interaction could be a good way to curb these issues.
We can’t convince loved ones to live healthier lives with logic and explanations.
We can be there for them regardless of their choice and hope one day they’ll see what you see.

You can provide them with information, but people will do whatever they want to.
Ask anyone in the healthcare profession. They’ll tell you stories of people who are using oxygen tanks and still smoking; or addicts who have overdosed a dozen times and kept on using; or alcoholics who have had liver transplants and kept on drinking.
