It resonated to the point that it hurts too at a personal level. Seeing Kurumi’s mom dead inside before, her, well… and now Kurumi thought she knew better and ended up falling to the same trap.

I went into this blind, and thought it was going to be a comedy. I couldn’t be more wrong. Pretty dark first episode, but apart from questionable logic of Kurumi following her mother’s steps, this was a pretty solid start. We had a catgirl teaching us that smoking is bad in the last season, now Forex Madoka will teach us that gambling is bad too.

I loved this show, it’s so moe and cute. I will definitely watch it when I’m relaxing.

I can’t shake the feeling that they just want to get the “FX trading can be really bad, m’kay?” out of the way, so they can say that they warned about the dangers, just before going into full-on FX-trading promotion mode.

My prediction would be that they’re all really rich and happy in the end, and that this is not like Chainsmoker Cat where it’s an anti-smoking ad beginning to end. I hope I’m wrong here, but I just get promotion material vibes from this one.

I really don’t know what to think.

I hope they don’t romanticize the gambling addiction and FX Trading ||(which is a cancer IMHO)||

If this is closer to teaching the risk, danger and so on, looks good. It’s a good first episode.
