Or maybe there are other systems than these three? Also these are all the authorian versions. I hate the traditional breakdown of communism on one side, capitalism/feudalism(kinda the same thing) on the other and then anarchism if you go really into the liberal side. But i do agree that we need these system because of shit people. Without them capitalism and communism would be the same because everyone would give to those in need.

Tribalism is hierarchy. Which then becomes authority. Which isn’t anarchism.

Yeah, I’m like - where was it actually tried without capture or interference from outside (like complete global markets cut off by the US in Cuba)

        where was it actually tried

It’s never been ‘tried’. Communism is end result of long term socialism. By definition any other path ‘there’, in fact leads to a different destination.

Youu’re unintentionally right. When someone else doesn’t own you or everyone else. Then you are actually free. So yeah, owning yourself and your own destiny.

Checks out, an Anarchist™ would certainly be an advocate of self harm and self oppression. After all, the billionaires seem all for the idea, and they must be the smartest people on earth. /s

I don’t think we have any large differences in ideal outcomes, just how to get there and to maintain it.

My friend, your emoji selection says you think this is a gotcha but yes. Once giving becomes the core of an ideology rather than a simple practice even that is corruptible, perverse, and a justification for all kinds of inhuman behavior. Pull up the “effective altruism” roster sometime, you’ll find a who’s who of self important and deeply entitled billionaires with neither of our best interests at heart. I will double down on “no good ists or isms” and go on to say that collectively ideology has been the single most destructive force in human history. See also the anarchists too caught up in demonstrating who’s more of a rebel to do the dishes, communists too busy discussing theory to build community, atheists entirely consumed by the absence of a god, and capitalists too busy extracting wealth to appreciate it. Every ideology that has ever been formulated fuckin sucks, and every principle worth living by is degraded by the attempt to build one around it

It’s certainly not ontologically evil, but no historical movement is ontologically good either. Every movement needs to accept some criticism or it’s just totalitarianism with extra steps.
