Thank you, i saw this tool before. I hope it is trustworthy

It is official, the page says so too. See the “By Firefox” label.
I think everyone can put a false description. Only way to know is to audit the code. Unfortunately i’m not able to do that

Publishers themselves can’t set these badges, these are put there by moderators. Here is the documentation on it: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/add-on-badges
By the way, you can also filter the search results according to these badges

It says it uses google. It’s a nono for privacy
- FarLine99 ( @FarLine99@lemm.ee ) 1•1 year ago
It can use Google ☝️ With some preparations: VPN, Chameleon (another) extension for spoofing the browser profile, everything will be fine.

Except if the website contains identifying information, like a username.

I’m currently using this one (Translate web pages). I think it is not the most privacy friendly, but is really useful. It also works for mobile Firefox (actually I use Mull)

It’s support for mobile is really cool. Fennec (or Firefox Nightly) with extensions is really good experience. Thank you mozilla for extensions support. Killer feature.
