• Corn is still looking very healthy. Grass in yards is mostly brown. We do need rain in the coming weeks or farmers will have to start irrigation. For those that don’t have the equipment in their fields, they will face low yield.

    This isn’t necessarily a bad thing as it means a higher price for their crops. Frito lay stock will take a hit 🤷‍♀️ We need to change what and how we’re farming here anyway. More food variety in greenhouses so we don’t have to rely on drought prone areas in the southwest and Mexico.

  • I’m in eastern Ohio, and just checked the drought monitor. We’re still in D0, despite it finally raining a good bit over the last week or two. But, given that it didn’t rain for 3+ weeks that’s not terribly surprising.
