This is how I feel about macklemore these days

Ive been working on getting some heat pump legislation passed at the state level. Im feeling really optimistic. I got my state senator to commit to introducing it, ive got a handful of journalists who will be ready to write about it when it gets introduced in January

One is disappointing. The other is openly vicious. Its not close.

I mourn the life dedicated to hatred and anger. A life and attitude that never softened or turned around. It truly must have been a miserable existence, and not only was he miserable, but he turned that hatred into the worst tragedy of human history. Every person who chooses hatred could have chosen to make the world a little nicer, he physically had the capacity to make the world nicer, instead he did every atrocity he could. Yeah, I mourn that.

I mourn the lives lost to hate. I dont just mean victims of hateful violence, but I also mourn those who lose their own life by dedicating it to hate. We only get one chance at life, and to waste it all filled with anger is a tragedy. It is a different tragedy, and my mourning feels different for the hateful from the mourning I do for the hated. But there is in fact room to mourn the end of every life as a tragedy.

1. Its immoral to turn your back on the trans community. 2. Its electorally stupid to turn your back on the trans community. 3. In the general election, you should always vote for the democrat anyway. The amount of good things that happens in government is measured in how much control democrats have, and evil is measured in republican seats. If you have a senate with 42 good dems and 10 bad ones, that’s a tough time, but if you have a senate with 42 good dems and 20 bad ones, you can get a lot of great stuff to happen. But most importantly of all, if you have 51 republicans in the senate, it will always be awful.

I dont know how to explain to you that you should care about the well being of more than just one people

Talarico would still be a safer choice for trans people than Ken Paxton but totally, saying people should not vote for Talarico is the choice that doesnt play with the lives of real-life trans people like we dont matter
