I’d argue that we shouldn’t be seeing communism as just the endpoint, isolated from how we get there, and historical precedents should absolutely be part of its modern definition rather than “it was not real communism”.

Not saying that there 1:1 causation here, but having a data center around will absolutely make you miserable, and dizzy too.

My biggest motivation to work is pure spite. Especially as an engineer. If I’m told my idea for something is shit without sufficient explanation - I’ll be secretly working on that to either discover myself why it’s shit or come back at ya with “SEE?!”.

What’s interesting is that he used to be one of more civilized Russian diplomats back in 80’s and 90’s. Others would be annoying their Ukrainian colleagues with “salo” and “horilka” jokes and other mocking stereotypes about Ukrainians and other casual chauvinism. And Lavrov was one of few Russian diplomats that one could have a respectful conversation with.
And today this guy’s spreading conspiracy theories, disinformation and racist shit to the whole world.
