Hopefully they remembered to actually make backups this time, and not just listing them as possible lol

To be honest, I find this equally stupid (or not) as handshakes being legally binding.
I wouldn’t trust third-party apps in this case, especially since you can’t completely prevent an app from accessing the internet.
By the way, on iOS 17 beta the autocorrect does seem a bit smarter.
I thought the article was interesting, but I didn’t really get the point of what OP said. :/
Maybe OnlyOffice but it depends on your use case. It’s open source and free for personal use with encryption IIRC
I don’t own a PineTime, but from what I’ve heard the sensors are not very accurate. You may want to keep this in mind.
I told someone about uBlock as they were getting ads left and right, and I was told “oh no, I don’t wanna install anything!”
So if it’s not extremely frictionless, many people won’t even try…
(I agree with your second point BTW)
Really cool video! Doing that little interview at the begging had me worried at first, but it’s a cool trick to grab someone’s attention, I guess.
Small unimportant detail: it has been possible for a while now to have up-to-10 min content on TikTok, plus people usually do multiple parts (super annoying).
It’s probably a bit of both. The language (well, the compiler) enforces good practices and you need to think more about what you’re writing and not just copy-paste snippets.
To be clear, only the backend is in Rust (probably the most important part though).
There are already many! The problem is they lack polish, to varying degrees.
EDIT: Damn, Thunder wasn’t showing me my comment!

In general, not talking directly to OP, it is important to read about the instance you’re joining to make sure you’re in the right place.
It’s definitely a personal preference thing. I just think they look cool and make it a bit easier to skim read large sections of code (assuming you have ligatures often in the code). They have lots of examples here: https://github.com/Trzcin/Fira-Code-Nerd
Anyway, you can still use that font without the ligatures, if that’s not your thing :p
I would never use it, but I don’t think it’s a bad idea. On the other other hand, I think most people would be confused if they had to use multiple app stores with some apps being exclusive to one of them.
So, this mostly seems like a way to promote adware apps, like those silly casual games that all look the same.
The ligatures in Fira Code Nerd are my favorite feature.
They think having downstream distros that repackage their software without adding anything is useless, and they want more customers. I get it, but meh.
Also, it doesn’t help that they communicated it poorly making it sound worse than it actually is.
Well you could take the bus / tram / subway too.
