Pronouns: He/Him (by convenience)

I’m in the process of regaining some social abilties online. The fediverse and no connection to my civil ID did wonders in this regard, despite my disposition to anxious ruminations and my weak social stamina. Anyway, happy to join a safe space to be open about my queerness.

From what I gathered, I can describe my identity and orientations as: bisexual, polyamorous, trigender, demiboy (I’m a.m.a.b byt he way.), non-binary, isogender, demicisgender. (Both cisgender and transgender seem to hardly fit my identity.) I’m also closeted.

  • | Does anyone here think they may relate to any of these other labels?

    Yeah:

    • Cisn’t (I wonder what word my french fellows use for this concept.)
    • Demicisgender
    • Isogender
    • Multigender (again, not and individual identity)
    • Nonbinary (in the common umbrella meaning)

I will probably stick with “nonbinary” and “demicisgender” in most non closeted cases though. Much easier to make other understand. (And in most case I’ll just stick with “man”, because closet.) I’ll keep the lesser known terms for more detailed, deeper discussions over gender.

  • EDIT: OK, I just saw what “gender modality” is.

I think “gender modality” VS “gender idendity” don’t cover the cases of “genderflluid”, “nonbinary”, “a(po)gender”, “multigender”, etc very well, hence my confusion.

These are not simply identities, but also categories of identities and of configurations alike. But they’re not comparisons to the gender registered by the administration at birth (AGAB), so not “gender modalities”. Is there a third term to discuss gender configurations without comparing to AGAB?

Aren’t at least “genderfluid” and “nonbinary”, and maybe “agender” (not sure) umbrella terms, though? I’d even say NB overlaps with most of the listed terms. As “bisexual” is used to described any sexual attraction profile with attraction toward more than one gender, “nonbinary” is also commonly used for any gender profile that doesn’t fit the traditional binary model.

  • Sooo, the US government’s new propaganda tool are games inherited from the terrible sexual or violent “adult” “games” so common from the 1980s to the 2000s ? I mean crap like the Postal series or so-called “mature” games which were just bad games with a discriminatory content decorated with sex or additional violence. (Take a popular or simple type of game, create a very low quality game of this type, then slap a porny or gory skin on it, insert many sexist, sexual, and racists joke, and voilà!)

  • For those into (not porny) dating sims, Date Everything very probably has both. (I have only discovered a very small part of the characters for now, so I have not verified it.) Warning though: every NPC in this game is an anthropomorphised domestic thing (objects, appliances, dust, etc).

Stardew Valley’s expansion mod Ridgeside Village instroduces a ftm character. I will not say his name for spoiler reasons, but he’s quite a touching character IMHO. (Well, although unoffical, he is a befriendable and romanceable Stardew Valley character after all.)

  • Oh, guess I learned another useful label for me, an AMAB trigender (man, woman, agender) demiboy. Pretty sure “AMAB demiboy” is considered loosely cisgender by most.

I personnally don’t care about whether LGBT+ people and allies consider me transgender or cisgender, but I don’t want to cause discomfort when presenting myself. (Especially since I’d like to join a local LGBT support and advocacy association, when I find one accessible enough from home). “Non binary” was already fitting enough to my taste, but “isogender” gives me a more tightly fitting option. It’s litterally the first case described on the “LGBTQIA Wiki” page.

I wonder if the french equivalent is “isogenre”.

EDIT : I see, in the other post in this community, that other labels that work too. For example, “demicisgender”.
