His screenshotted post is really old. Every time I’ve seen him say anything about trans people, he immediately tries to steer the conversation back to software. Literally the next line after the screenshot is that.

The man doesn’t care about trans issues and is misinformed by the prevalent right wing misinformation. In my view, nothing in any of his statements have been driven by hate, just ignorance. His ban from blahaj is justifiable due to our strict rules, but nothing beyond that. He said one dumb thing one time. Its weird you keep bringing it up.

If nutomic’s involvement in lemmy is such a problem for you, I suggest switching to piefed or something else. Other federated link aggregators are available.

There’s no Lemmy Foundation to petition. You’re basically petitioning Nutomic to remove himself.

That said, it’s an open source project, if there are enough trans Rust developers out there who want to develop Lemmy without Nutomic they can just fork it. The trend for people who want fedi-reddit minus Nutomic seems to be Piefed though.
