No shit, this would set the precedent for prosecuting US for much greater crimes against humanity that it’s been committing for decades.
pingveno ( @pingveno@lemmy.ml ) English1•2 years agoThe ICC at this point is really most useful for prosecuting war criminals in post-civil war eras in countries that have yet to establish the rule of law. It’s certainly better than some kangaroo court in a country where the judiciary is just getting off the ground after a bruising war.
