I just spent an embarrassingly long time trying to figure out what ‘faggottists’ were, or what joke, reference, or play on words I was missing. It was only when I thought ‘maybe ‘fagtists?’’, that I then simultaneously realized what you meant and remembered about fasces. D’oh! [Insert facepalm here.]
