Bicycle commuter for about 10yrs now. Yes, the good mood dividend is wonderful! I do find a helmet essential, having been knocked over by a motorist. But I’m also conflicted by recent studies showing that helmeted cyclists are dehumanized by motorists. On the other hand, walking into a place with helmet in hand is a great conversation starter: " you rode here?!?" 😎
i wonder if it has anything to do with this:
thank you for taking on this role. i feel this community is in good hands, and i now have a place to read my “morning paper” and discuss the news!
we have this in my city. pedestrians do not know how to deal with cyclists in what they perceive as their space-- and rightly so! The paint lines are a token separator and not readily noticed. As a cyclist, i almost rather take my chances with road traffic than risk colliding with and injuring a pedestrian.
does Google Chat supercede Hangouts or Allo? i honestly don’t remember what apps do what and which are alive or dead… Google, keeping us perpetually confused.

Reddit Is Fun is gone now too
so far i have tried jerboa, connect, and liftoff. Jerboa is a hot mess of compatibility issues but the interface is nice. Connect is stable but tricky to navigate and know what community you are in… Liftoff is just right so far!
that’s happened to me as well. I’m now posting from connect for the first time and adjusting to the interface.
i can’t seem to post since Google apps upgraded to jerboa 35
on the other hand, that road looks like a nightmare for pedestrian crossing…
Prigozhin’s ability to successfully execute a coup may have been tenuous, but this will send a message to others that it is possible… Afterall, they did take Rostov-on-Don and got within 200km of Moscow… This will embolden others.
that’s awesome, thanks! 😎👍
i very much would like to read this study… but I’m getting an error for the doi you linked. Could you please check you see if the doi was pasted correctly? thank you!
the real tl;dr
i found the AI generated tldr that you originally posted to be a bit confusing, but the article itself was very interesting. Here is my summary of the major points:
to simplify this from a long-time bicycle commuters perspective: steel is real 😁
