The people they’ve hired into these positions either know nothing about how the internet works or they just don’t give a shit. I remember this interview from years ago and the fucking CEO of AI at Microsoft thought it was just fine to scrap everything on the web because it’s “publicly available”.

People that have ran websites since the beginning have always wanted to protect what they put out there and keep people from stealing their content. It feels like this guy just got some degrees and became CEO without ever being on the internet.

Forsworn - BG3 meets Slay the Spire, no story elements just combat encounters.
Shape of Dreams - League of Legends but single player and not filled with assholes.
TMNT: Splintered Fate - Hades with Ninja Turtles.
Pathogenic - Top down shooter.

That game is frustratingly addictive. I’ve beat the heart once and haven’t even gotten to the brain yet.

If you like metal. They have a few new tracks from their upcoming album out but their whole back catalog is excellent. Big sludgey riffs with vocals that are definitely an acquired taste but when it gets you it gets you. Doom Wop and Big Dumb Riffs are so much fun to listen to.

I’ve been on Nobara for a year or so now with my nvidia 4090. I can’t think of a game that I couldn’t get running that wasn’t related to the anti-cheat or VR. I had a hankering for Mass Effect 3 multiplayer. Getting the EA play app going through Lutris worked but was not consistently great at launching. ProtonDB said it ran fine through Steam so I ended up buying it last sale for $5 and it does run fine that way. Helldivers 2 has a single pixel white boarder around the window but otherwise it runs fine. Heck even Ultima Online works (and Outlands!) I’ve been gaming on Windows PCs for 30 years. It’s pretty close if not the same performance to me.

I supported Hp Web Jet Admin on a slew of print servers for a large healthcare org after it got dropped in my lap from a round of layoffs. I’ll never own a printer again. Granted I never print anymore but I would rather drive to office depot a thousand times than to bring that evil back into this house

I see the ROG Ally’s are cheaper right now but I doubt they’ll hold those prices for long once the existing stock moves. I’d still take dealing with Valve over dealing with Asus, MSI or Lenovo.
