I like couplagoofs, they’re on TikTok and twitch and YouTube with that name. they’re a lesbian couple Morgan and phoebe, and they make really happy positive content, they play cozy video games, do crafting streams. they’re both really funny and just overall a lovely couple 😌
I started my third playthrough of dragonage inquisition this week. I’m playing a male Inquisitor for the first time so I can romance Dorian. I really really enjoy DA:I, I never played any of the earlier games but even without context the gameplay loop and getting to know the characters is always fun. I do feel like I make the same choices every time I play though. I struggle to have video game characters make choices I wouldn’t personally make.
Yeah, I do think I would have had a better visual experience if I had played it on my PC, but I’m a handheld gamer at heart. I don’t remember if I experienced crashes, but I had to turn my graphics settings down a lot in order to play at any consistent frame rate on the deck. That said I am not complaining, HZD regardless of how it looked, was the best RPG experience I’ve had in years.
I agree, I played hzd on the steam deck and it looked terrible. the game was still really fun, but I’m hoping the sequel is ported better
I came here to say Magicka. my husband and I really enjoyed those games and I think the sense of humor in them is amazing. they had some really stellar jokes.
my husband and I are playing Diablo 4 still. we made our third each character a few days ago and are enjoying the seasonal content. my best friend and I are currently doing her first playthrough of all the kingdom hearts games. it was my first time beating KH1 myself. i finally made it to a world in kingdom hearts 2 after the endless Roxas prologue. we only get a couple hours every weekend, but it’s been really fun. and in between on my own I’m playing pikmin 4.
I’d like to touch on the non-binary AGAB thing. in general I refer to myself as a non binary woman. my identity, how I feel inside, is genderless. but I was AFAB and I present feminine. I use she/they pronouns and my body doesn’t make my dysphoric. my identity may be that of a non binary person, but my positionality is that of a white woman. I may not feel like a woman, but society see me and treats me as a woman. it’s hard for me to separate the way I see myself and the way I am treated by society. I understand that isn’t the case for a lot of non binary people, but it is for me and I don’t really feel like people labels and identities should really be up for debate.
My main hobbies are baking, reading, and video games. I love looking up recipes and combining parts of that recipe and techniques I learned from other places. I enjoy baking because it is so scientific and I can experiment and see what turns out well.
For books, well I have ADHD and have a hard time focusing. so I listen to audiobooks when I drive or clean my apartment. I’m a big fantasy nerd and am very into Brandon Sanderson specifically.
Other than that I tend to cycle through artistic hobbies and have accumulated quite a lot of art supplies. l
idk if it’s important to you, but if you play on steam you can get mods that do a better job of gender swapping the mc and allow for gay marriage. rf5 was the first rf game to allow gay relationships. i would still recommend rf4 over rf5 though.
have you played rune factory? it’s my favorite of the farming simulator genre. I found Stardew a little plot lite for my tastes when I played it. I feel like after I finish the community center, why would I keep playing? rune factory 4 for the switch or PC is imo the perfect game.
that’s pretty similar to me! when I was transitioning from YA to wanting to read adult fantasy I came across rothfuss, from there I looked for more recs and read warbreaker since it was a standalone. I really loved the magic system and I’ve been a sanderfan ever since!
I’ve been really enjoying My Time at Sandrock. it was in early access for a while and just had their 1.0 release a few weeks ago. I played and enjoyed the first game they made, My Time at Portia, but Sandrock is an improvement in every way.
It’s a stardew valley-esque game with a focus on crafting rather than farming. the story and lore is more extensive than I expected and the writing for the characters is also impressive to me. I’m mainly a cozy gamer so Sandrock is a perfect game for me.
