I’ve had this discussion with a friend of mine at length. He’s an “independent” and votes such. I think an approach to the 2 party system without ranked choice will always be a losing battle. We agree the system is broken, but have vastly different opinions on how we can approach it.

Trying to explain that systemic issues that go back generations cannot be solved overnight. Even 20 years would not be enough to see a large enough change in society, and how others are perceived. Think about it, our civil rights movement was only 60 years ago where people of color and whites were segregated and explicitly did not have equal rights.

Personally, and I hope I’m wrong, I see the next 4 years being a downward spiral. Those who voted for Trump are so closed minded, they grasp for anything that remotely supports their position.

It’s impossible to help those who do not want to be helped.

It’s difficult. You’ve got people that vote red or blue for no other reason than that’s what they’re told to do by peers/family. They don’t look at the possible outcomes, just that “they win”. And wanting to help people is almost looked down upon in many facets of society.

America has a critical thinking problem, coupled with an extreme lack of genuine empathy. Don’t let the “nice American” bit fool you if you ever travel here. The nice small talk is a front, and you can very easily find yourself in an uncomfortable situation. Health care is a great example. Or anything LGBTQ+.

Honestly, it’s a culture thing. It’s toxic as hell and hard to navigate.

I’ll take it if that means companies start optimizing their games better.

Having just replayed DA2, Anders is a poor example. It’s written (or at least the player choice tree) was so light that just including him in the party meant you had to grapple with acceptance or rejection to just move the story along. With the other characters there are at least two separate flirt checks that need to be met beforehand.

I will say, moving into Inquisition, I am disappointed they ratcheted back so much on player choice. They did so well with DA2 it almost feels like they just listened to the loudest feedback.

Your last sentence makes it seem like you’re saying they’re all USA made, which they are not.

A lot of fender guitars/basses are made in Indonesia and Mexico. Hell, some of the best fenders ever made were made in Japan and are highly sought after.

Same thing with Gibson. The others I don’t have any knowledge of.

Like the other commenter said, you can get some pretty good deals due to the recent issues.

Just don’t bother with a 13th/14th gen intel right now. Either go 12th gen intel, or straight up AMD which is what I’d recommend.

Take a look at Keychron. They have a lot to offer for around your budget and they go on sale frequently.

Are you looking to be able to swap switches out? If so you will need to find hot swappable switches.

If you care about backlighting they might be a little more expensive. But Keychron is reasonable. I’ve had their K2 for years and it has a better feel in it vs Corsair or Razer stuff in my opinion.

Wolfenstein 3D or Doom. It’s hard to think which I played first. Probably Doom.

At some point there has to be a crossover when it comes to profitability.

What AiB are you getting? A board partner like Gigabyte or Asus have factory overclocked cards that are more power hungry than a reference 7800xt. And AMD already states 700w as a minimum recommendation. Nvidia also states 700w for the 4070ti. Same thing happens, board partner cards will draw more power.

I’d stick with 750w at minimum. Give yourself more overhead since psu’s are more efficient that way.

Either way, the current cards are power hungry. There’s no way around it without going for a lower tier card, but at that point I don’t think the gains are worth it. Maybe a regular 3070 if you can find one cheap enough.

2x on the plugs and muffs. Depends on my glasses the muffs don’t get a perfect seal. And I swapped a limb saver buttstock on my skeet 1301 and my god did it make a difference in comfort.

That FX-8350 is the problem.

They also don’t seem to have many standards either. Specs and reviews I’ve seen seem to jump generations within a few months. I think my favorite ridiculous spec was the ability to use two fast chargers (one on either side of the car since it has two plugs) to pump some 300 miles in 5-10 minutes. It’s wild to read about the stuff they’re doing.
