I believe NeoDB is the only one in the works currently. But unfortunately I’m unable to find much about it in English, as it’s being developed in Mandarin first.

Even worse, 65.3 percent of Americans live within this zone.
It sounds like they’re going to be allowing anti-LGBT hate speech, which was formerly a ban-worthy offense on their platform. Reddit and most Lemmy instances have rules against this, so I imagine Squabblr is going to attract the same sort of people that like using Truth Social.
I believe it’s an all-electric quadricycle, not a typical car. This is meant for people that live in urban environments with short daily commutes. I could see something like this being great for people who may not be physically able to ride a bicycle or navigate some less-accessible metro networks. It’s also significantly cheaper than most electric vehicles.
John Jonik, the maker of this comic, maintains a website with high-quality images of many of his comics.
I personally like LibreWolf , a privacy-focused version of Firefox that has Ublock Origin installed by default and has unnecessary things like Mozilla Pocket removed.
Another option is Ungoogled Chromium, which is just Google Chromium with Google web services removed.
When their expensive luxuries are actively harming the planet, I think their indulgences offer us plenty of justification to hate. Private jets emit the same amount of CO2 in two hours that an average car does in a year. This frivolous waste poisons our air and warms our fragile seas. I’m not envious of private jets or yachts; it would be unethical for me to use them no matter how much wealth I had.
This is an incomplete view of the history of slavery. By the numbers, the vast majority of the people benefitting from chattel slavery were white. However, slave ownership reached similar per capita rates among some of the Native American tribes, and there were instances of slaves being owned by free people of color. Notably, there are a large number of black tribal members in the United States. The United States government signed a number of treaties with the tribes in the 1860s that required them to free their slaves and incorporate them as full tribal members.
None of this is said to diminish the fact that the American system of slavery was a product of colonization by European countries. But it is rather reductive to claim that only white property owners benefitted from the atrocity that was chattel slavery.
You’re absolutely right, I inadvertently worded that as if I was reducing those sexual orientations down to being a preference like for a certain hair color. I should have said they have a requirement before sexual attraction can develop.
Is their preference really any more arbitrary than the preferences sapiosexuals or demisexuals have? It sounds like they probably have other traits that may make someone more or less attractive, they just have a minimum requirement for a certain body form for them to begin having attraction. That isn’t so different when compared to a sapiosexual who requires a high intellect before they can begin being more or less attracted based on other traits.
TL;DR: All preferences are weird, no need to call anyone out on their specific ones :)
Starting at the top-left and moving clockwise, they’re Mastodon, Peertube, Nextcloud, Lemmy, and Pixelfed.
She’s apparently a MAGA supporter, so I have no sympathy.
Your best free option is finding someone willing to share a Plex server with Voyager on it with you. I’m not sure if there’s a Lemmy community for Plex sharing yet, but there are a plethora of people on r/PlexShare willing to add anyone to their servers for free. I currently have access to three servers that have voyager on them, but I unfortunately don’t have invite privileges.
Seems like https://lemmy.ml/c/libreoffice has been around longer and has a higher subscriber count.
I have a Keychron K8 Pro and am absolutely in love with it. One of the best mechanicals I’ve ever used.
“Penguin Random House delineated that the notice should not be misconstrued as a trigger warning, but rather a note meant to situate the reader in the timeframe of the book’s origins.”
It’s literally just a notice that the series was started in the 80s and might not reflect current cultural attitudes. They aren’t adding trigger warnings interspersed throughout the audiobooks. Seems non-problematic to me.
As a pass phrase, I think “I haven’t pooped in three days” followed by a wink works well.
I’m assuming he’s referring to the fact that Japan never apologized for, or in some cases even acknowledged, the atrocities committed during their colonization of Asia (Korean Comfort Women, the Rape of Nanking, Unit 731, etc.).
Doesn’t Peertube already do this?
Yes, that’s it! Looks like the two existing instances are both in Mandarin only, and federation hasn’t been fully implemented yet.
